Inn on the Lake, Glenridding, Penrith, Cumbria, CA11 0QS
Inn on the Lake is a stunning lakeside hotel on the shores of Ullswater — widely regarded as one of the most beautiful lakes in the Lake District.
Set in 26 acres of landscaped gardens stretching down to the shore of Ullswater, Inn on the Lake offers a truly breathtaking setting for a wedding. The hotel has been recognised by Bridebook as one of the best wedding venues in Cumbria, and it is easy to see why — the combination of historic charm, lakeside location, and impeccable service creates an experience that couples and their guests never forget.
The grand dining room offers views straight across Ullswater to the fells beyond, and the gardens provide a stunning setting for outdoor ceremonies and portrait sessions. Ullswater is quieter and more intimate than Windermere, giving the venue a sense of seclusion and romance that is hard to find elsewhere.
With 45 individually decorated bedrooms, the inn can accommodate most of your wedding party on site. The Ullswater Steamer, which calls at the hotel's private jetty, offers a truly unique arrival for your ceremony.
